Frank Jawidzik is excited and grateful for the opportunity to join the Dag Hammarskjold Middle School community this year. He has spent the entirety of his career in education supporting students at the middle school level. His career began as an 8th grade Social Studies teacher at Dodd Middle School in Cheshire. As a teacher, Mr. Jawidzik coached football and track and field. Prior to joining Dag, Mr. Jawidzik served the communities of Naugatuck and New Milford as an Assistant Principal. Mr. Jawidzik is a proud husband and father of two children. He looks forward to collaborating with our faculty, staff, families, and other members of our community to support the growth and achievement of all of our students.
Assistant Principal
Christine Melita has served as the Assistant Principal for Dag Hammarskjold Middle School since 2016. Prior to this, she taught 8th grade English/Language Arts in Clinton, Connecticut. She graduated with Honors from UConn's Neag School of Education with a B.A. in Secondary English Education and an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction. She later went on to earn her 6th year degree in Educational Leadership, also from UConn.
